What is Powder coating

by Feb 17, 2023Fabrication Technology

Powder coating is a type of dry finishing process in which a powdered material is applied to a surface using an electrostatic gun, and then cured under heat to form a hard, durable, and attractive coating. We powder coat both mild steel and aluminium.

The process is used in a wide range of applications, from automotive and industrial equipment to household appliances and furniture.

Powder coating offers several advantages over traditional wet paint, including improved durability, resistance to chipping, scratching, and fading, and the ability to produce uniform and consistent finishes.

Additionally, powder coating is environmentally friendly, as it produces little to no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) during application.
